Since the onset of the Pandemic, markets have been characterized by periods of high volatility. These events, coupled with client concerns about the relevance and robustness of low volatility strategies, have prompted us to revisit low volatility strategies.

In this paper, we:

• present some internal research on the effectiveness of low volatility strategies
• review the recent literature on low volatility strategies
• revisit low volatility methodologies
