**Investing in 2015 and Beyond: How the economic and capital market outlook is shaping investment strategy**

CFA Society Ottawa will celebrate its 2015 Annual Forecast Dinner on April 23, 2015, sponsored by Franklin Templeton. This dinner is the premier financial industry networking event of the year, bringing together over 300 of Ottawa’s leading investment professionals and key decision-makers.

Speaking at this year’s event will be some of the industry’s most respected forecasters and investment professionals.

Harry Marmer, BBA, MBA, CFA Executive Vice President, Institutional Investment Services Hillsdale Investment Management Inc.

Prior to joining Hillsdale, Mr. Marmer led the Canadian institutional business of Franklin Templeton Investments, as well as the institutional business at Russell Investment Group. As Principal, he co-led Mercer’s Investment Consulting Practice and prior to that was a Senior Investment Analyst at Sun Life Canada. Mr. Marmer is a frequent conference speaker and has authored more than 48 articles and a book entitled, “Perspectives in Investment Management”. He has served on a number of industry boards and was past President of CFA Society Toronto. Mr. Marmer was awarded the Toronto Society’s Research Award and received the Society’s Volunteer of Distinction Award. He currently volunteers for the CFA Institute and is on the editorial board of The Journal of Investing. Harry joined Hillsdale in February 2008.

Douglas Porter has over 25 years of experience analyzing global economies and financial markets. As Chief Economist at BMO Financial Group, he oversees the macroeconomic and financial market forecasts and co-authors the firm’s weekly flagship publication, Focus. Mr. Porter manages the team that won the prestigious Lawrence Klein award for forecast accuracy of the U.S. economy, and was named by Bloomberg as top Canadian forecaster.

Mr. Chabot is the father of the Three-Pillar Approach. He holds a degree in Engineering, a Master of Business Administration and is a CFA charterholder. Mr. Chabot has been managing assets for institutional and high net worth clients for over 30 years. From 1980 to 1987, he worked in the field of corporate finance for the Chase Manhattan Bank and the Bank of Montreal. In 1987, he joined Bolton Tremblay, where he was involved in asset mix studies and equity management. He joined Magna Vista Capital Management as senior partner in 1996. In 1998, he set up a portfolio management team to advise on assets for a mutual fund organization. This team subsequently became Triasima.
