Investment Operations Analyst

We have an opportunity for an Investment Operations Analyst on the Operations team.

The Investment Operations Analyst will work closely with the Manager, Portfolio Administration and the Senior Vice-President, Trading and Operations:
Responsibilities:
• Trade Settlement and Reconciliation for Equity, Derivative and Fixed Income securities
• Monitoring and analysis of relevant corporate actions in order to maintain an accurate record of positions and to facilitate decisions by the Portfolio Management team
• Account and transaction support for Traders and Portfolio Managers
• Liaison for external service providers, including prime brokers/custodians, fund administrators and auditors
• Preparation of monthly reports and analyses for client accounts, including client performance reports, reports to external databases, and portfolio compliance
• Assistance in the timely and accurate filing of reports for regulators
• Assistance with the implementation of new funds, products and industry initiatives
• Enhancement of internal process efficiencies
• Ethical and respectful behavior at all times

Qualifications:
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of the trade lifecycles of equities and derivatives (options, futures & forwards)
• Keen attention to detail and adeptness at problem solving, research and follow up
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent numeric capabilities coupled with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Aptitude for dealing with people in a positive and enthusiastic manner
• Ability to show initiative, to work independently and to maintain tact and discretion
• Capability to prioritize tasks and willingness to achieve in an extremely fast-paced environment

Additional Qualifications (preferred but not required):
• Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or equivalent
• Experience with and knowledge of trading
• Experience with StatPro portfolio accounting software

Compensation:
• Hillsdale offers an attractive compensation package including salary commensurate with experience, bonus dependent on individual/company performance and a stunning daily view of the City of Toronto
