These Funds are similar to traditional equity mutual funds. They are suitable for investors who seek to maximize capital growth and have slightly above average risk tolerance. They are long only equity products that do not engage in short selling or hedging.
Canadian Performance Equity Fund
The investment objective of the Fund is to provide a rate of return on capital in excess of the S&P/TSX Small Cap Index with volatility equal to or less than the Index. The Fund invests a minimum of 75% of the assets in a diversified selection of small cap Canadian corporations and unit trusts trading on major Canadian exchanges. No single equity position exceeds 5% of the account’s assets. The Fund limits its purchases of securities in the S&P/TSX Composite Index so that the aggregate S&P/TSX Composite Index market weight, determined at the time of purchase of these securities, does not exceed 10%.
Canadian Core Equity Fund
The investment objective of the Fund is to provide a rate of return on capital in excess of the S&P/TSX Composite Total Return Index, over a four year period, managed within a controlled tracking error budget with volatility similar to the market. The Fund invests a minimum of 90% of its assets in a diversified selection of at least 50 corporations and trusts trading on major Canadian stock exchanges.
US Performance Equity Fund
The investment objective of the Fund is to provide a return on capital in excess of the Russell 2000® Small Cap Index with volatility equal to or less than the Index. The Fund will invest a minimum of 75% of its assets in a diversified selection of small cap US corporations trading on major US exchanges. No single equity position will exceed 5% of the account’s assets.
